Ranked as a Rising Star by the Legal 500, Anna has extensive experience in the field of Criminal Defence as both a litigator and advocate. Anna has advised on both contentious and non- contentious matters with a specialism in criminal defence.
Anna regularly represents and advises clients on a wide range of criminal cases at the Crown Court and Court of Appeal. These includes complex cases involving allegations of murder, historic (and other) sexual offences, serious assault including child assault offences, firearms, and violent offences. Her clients include professionals including pilots, teachers, medical professionals, and high-profile individuals as well as those in C-suite positions, world of business and the arts. Understanding the reputational risk criminal investigations and proceedings carry, Anna works discreetly and swiftly. She is acutely aware of her client’s long-term and short-term needs.
Anna advises at all stages of criminal investigations, including interviews under caution through to trial. She offers pragmatic and effective advice and has been praised by her peers for her strong tactical ability as well as instincts. Anna conducts her own advocacy in the Magistrates’ Court, with experience in presenting complex legal arguments as well as conducting trials for sexual offences, drugs offences, violent offences and fraud offences, alongside other matters. Anna is diligent and meticulous her preparation achieving acquittals and practical solutions.
Her calm demeanour means that she effectively represents the most vulnerable individuals, including those with complex needs whether physical, mental, or social.
