Shearman Bowen and Co, a law firm specialising in defending individuals and companies subject to criminal investigation and proceedings, invites applications from candidates for the following two positions:
1. Senior solicitor (must be at least 5 years PQE). The successful candidate will be the firm’s legal aid contract supervisor and will work closely with the senior partners in promoting and managing the firm. Salary dependent on experience – £55,000 with additional benefits. Preferably duty qualified.
2. Solicitor (newly qualified – 5 years PQE). Required to run an independent case load and to assist partners on some of the firm’s larger cases. Starting salary up to £40,000 with additional benefits .
The firm has been an established for over 20 years and has acted in the many of the major cases during that period. It specialises in all areas of criminal law and associated civil proceedings. It is noted for its expertise in the areas of business crime and asset forfeiture as well as general crime. It has been consistently ranked, along with many of its lawyers, in all the major legal directories and receives instructions from individuals and companies (both in the UK and overseas) to advise on a variety of complex and interesting matters .
