Our client James Campbell Sutherland, head of the Hong Kong-based fiduciary Zetland Financial Group, was acquitted yesterday of a money laundering charge at Southwark Crown Court. The jury returned their verdict in less than four hours following a nine-week trial. The prosecution by the SFO concerned laundering the proceeds of boiler room fraud valued in excess of $100m. Our team comprised partners Rick Shearman, Ben Holden and Colette Kelly with support from associate Blake Woodfield and paralegal Sibel Onemli.
